Vermont's Lost Ski Areas
While it's easy to pick out the ski areas that dot Vermont's mountainsides these days, you'd be surprised to learn that almost every town in Vermont had a ski area at one point. Many of these facilities have closed down and had the forests grow over the trails, but in recent years, there's been a concerted effort to try and document the story behind the lost ski areas around Vermont and the country. Local 22 / Local 44 anchor Mike Hoey and Vermont Historical Society Executive Director Steve Perkins head over to the Vermont Ski and Snowboard Museum to learn about Vermont's lost ski areas.
