Ethan Allen Water Tower
A massive stone tower looms over Route 15 in Essex and Colchester. It looks like it's from another era, but rather than holding damsels in distress or a wizard's observatory, it's a water tower that was built for Fort Ethan Allen in 1893 that held up to 50,000 gallons of water. The tower has recently been the recipients of some major historical restoration grants.
