Active Collections Resource Center

Welcome to Vermont Historical Society's Active Collections Resource Center!

This resource center builds on our Activating 21st Century Local History Training Program. Local historical societies and museums are encouraged to use these guides and resources to implement Active Collections in their organizations.

If you're not sure where to start, use our resource guides below. Search all resources if you're looking for help with a specific issue.

The Active Collections Online Resource Center is a work in progress. Please share your feedback using this form as we continue to build it out with resources. Contact program.coordinator@vermonthistory.org with any questions.

This project has been funded by a grant from the Institute of Museum & Library Services (Grant 21MP-256386-OMS-24). We are grateful to multiple donors, including Marilyn Blackwell, and Lola van Wagenen & George Burrill, who contributed to sustaining the program.
