A fixture at ski areas across the country is the Ski Patrol: an organization of trained rescue personnel who patrol ski areas to ensure that skiers are safe and to step in to help in case of an accident or injury. In this episode of This Place in History, Local 22 / Local 44 anchor Mike Hoey and Vermont Historical Society Executive Director Steve Perkins head over to Stowe to learn about how the Ski Patrol got its start.
