Burlington's Union Station
Vermont has a rich railroad history, but its largest city, Burlington, has long had difficulties with rail travel. Many of the state's railroads bypassed Burlington to reach Canada, and it wasn't until the early 20th century that the city installed a union (a station connecting several different railroads) station.
ABC 22 & Fox 44 anchor Mike Hoey and Vermont Historical Society Executive Director Steve Perkins visit Union Station in Burlington to untangle the story.
This Place in History is produced in partnership by Local 22 & Local 44 (www.mychamplainvalley.com) and the Vermont Historical Society.
