Oakledge Park

The area in and around Oakledge Park has included a farm, shipyard, private residence, and resort before the core section was sold to the City of Burlington in the 1970s to be turned into a park. You can still see the evidence of its historic story in foundations, pins stuck in the rocks where boats where moored and even chimneys poking out of the woods.

This Place in History is produced in partnership by Local 22 & Local 44 (www.mychamplainvalley.com) and the Vermont Historical Society.
