The Notorious Bristol Bill
The Stone Jail in Danville has a storied history. In this installment of This Place in History, VHS Executive Director Steve Perkins and ABC 22 & Fox 44 anchor Mike Hoey head over to Danville to learn about two dramatic people connected to the place: Bristol Bill, a notorious counterfeiter and thief, and General Burton, who was bailed out after a lawsuit by a famous friend: Lafayette.
