James Hope
James Hope, a Scottish-born painter who immigrated to North America is well known posthumously for his American Landscape and Civil War paintings. His work can be found around the state of Vermont; some locations include: the Vermont History Museum in Montpelier, the Shelburne Museum, and Castleton University.
