Captain Partridge and Citizen Soldiers
Captain Alden Partridge founded Norwich University with a focus on practical learning which continues today. At the Sullivan Museum on campus, the Citizen Soldiers gallery features many of these alumni, including Medal of Honor recipient Captain James Burt, who led troops during WWII but became a math teacher after leaving active duty.
