Montpelier State House Card Room Fireplace
The Card Room at the Vermont State House is used today for citizens to connect with their legislators. Originally built as part of an addition to the State House in the 1880s, the Card Room has a magnificent fireplace. The chimney includes samples of a wide variety of marbles that were quarried throughout the state.
This Place in History is produced in partnership by Local 22 & Local 44 (www.mychamplainvalley.com) and the Vermont Historical Society.
