Silas Wright
Born in Vermont and educated at Middlebury College, Silas Wright served in the U.S. Congress representing New York. He supported Manifest Destiny and the U.S. Bank and opposed the expansion of slavery in the West. The monument in his honor is the logo for Monument Farms Dairy.
