Theodore Roosevelt International Highway
The Theodore Roosevelt International Highway, started in 1919, ran from Maine to the western United States. Seen partially as a tourism program, in Vermont the highway was accompanied by a very descriptive brochure touting exploration of the Vermont landscape alongside places related to Teddy Roosevelt.
This Place in History is produced in partnership by Local 22 & Local 44 (www.mychamplainvalley.com) and the Vermont Historical Society.
