Theodore Vail
Theodore Vail, the first president of AT&T, had a summer home in Lyndon where he hosted titans of industry and politics, alongside a large working farm. The mansion was torn down in 1974 to make way for Lyndon State College, but his influence remains and can be explored in the Vail Museum.
This Place in History is produced in partnership by Local 22 & Local 44 (www.mychamplainvalley.com) and the Vermont Historical Society.
