Fairbanks Scales
The Fairbanks Scale company grew out of desire to weigh farm products without unloading the goods off a wagon. Thaddeus Fairbanks developed the platform scale that could weigh the entire wagon accurately. The company sold their scales worldwide and brought wealth and resources to Saint Johnsbury.
