Our 250th Independence Day

Today, we mark the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, reflecting on not just one event but the entirety of our nation’s past 250 years. Vermont has been part of America’s multifaceted story from the start. We honor that role when we consider the full history of Vermont, the breadth of Vermont experiences, and the complexity of our role in American history.
