The COVID-19 Project at the Vermont Historical Society seeks to collect oral histories documenting the experience of the COVID-19 pandemic in Vermont. The Project Assistant Intern will support the closing work of the project, including reviewing interview transcripts, selecting segments for publication, preparing audio clips for the eventual podcast, working with author Garrett Graff and project director Amanda Gustin, and doing other background research and production work as needed.

The internship will cover approximately 200 hours and pays a stipend of $3,000. Work will take place between June - August 2024. Some work can be done remotely, but the intern must spend at least one day a week onsite at the Vermont History Center in Barre.

To apply, please fill out the Internship Application and indicate “COVID-19 Project Internship” in the appropriate section: https://form.jotform.com/222075711771049
