Deaccession Donor Notification Template

While you are not legally required to notify the donor of an object or their heirs that the object is being deaccessioned, it is a nice thing to do that can help maintain a trusting relationship and reputation of transparency for your museum or local historical society. This template offers a straightforward letter that you can adjust with the relevant details for your own use.
