Exhibit: A Century of Creative Women in Pittsford

Black and white photo of a train traveling over tracks in flooded field

The town of Pittsford sits nestled between the Taconic Mountains to the west and the Green Mountains to the east. While the region may best be known its marble production, this exhibit, curated by the Pittsford Historical Society, offers a glimpse into another part of life in Pittsford.

A Century of Creative Women in Pittsford focuses on the work of five women who called Pittsford home at various points in their lives, who drew upon the landscape, people, and events to create paintings, prints, and photographs that reflected the town over the course of one hundred years.

On view in the Local History Gallery from August 3, 2024, to January 25, 2025.
