Was definitely a patch once attached to a garment. The gray refers to the background which may have been the original fabric of the patch or the fabric itself of the garment carefully cut out. The green is the body of the overstitching creating the image with its golden outlines stitched not top of this. The same golden/yellow is used also in massively machine top-stitching to create the word beneath.

The jumper is wearing a grey suit with matching gray goggles and ski cap with details of costume in black stitching. Ski poles are tucking under arms bringing the gloved hands of the jumper to the front of their body and jumper is smiling. Bearing inscription: "AMERICAN ATHLETIC ASS'N. A line of similar confer trees follow up and winding to the left on the mountainside. Also depicting a ski jumper with black outlining in jump in profile, above the frontal confirmation (delineating height of jump). Very very small textile made of sturdy dark royal blue ribbon with a silky sheen into the weaving.

The ribbon refers to the largest piece of material in the whole object which is the ribbon itself. This is secured to a small cardboard card in the back using a type of snap-like metal fastening (that is too tarnished at present to identify exact material of metal). The card is made of a thin cardboard-like material in order to be written on by a type of pen or ink writing.
