Whole-cloth cotton chintz quilt made from a roller printed glazed (washed off) material imported from France or Great Britain. The family history on this quilt states that it was made in the 1840s by Mary Eastman in preparation for her marriage to Jonathan Tillotson. Featured in Plain and Fancy: Vermont’s People and Their Quilts. Donated by Nellie Tillotson Jeffrey. 88.5"h. x 95"w. #1922.7.
