Vermont History Trivia Online 2025

Vermont Trivia

Vermont History virtual trivia is back, with a twist! In 2025, we're featuring 4 weeks of asynchronous trivia rounds which allow for players to compete on their own time, utilizing the Kahoot online platform. See below for details on how you can play.

Week 1 (1/6-1/12): Animal, Vegetable, Mineral

Week 2 (1/13-1/19): Quiz Show

Week 3 (1/20-1/26): Arts & Crafts

Week 4 (1/27-2/2): Championship Round

  • Trivia will be assigned around 9:00 am on the Monday of that week and players will have until 5:00 pm on the following Sunday to complete the round. There’s no advantage to completing the round earlier in the week rather than later.
  • There will be 30 questions per week (More for Championship round)
  • While the questions are timed, there will be untimed slides in between for breaks. We would expect each week’s trivia will take between 15-40 minutes to complete. Once you start the round, you will have to keep it open to finish.
  • Points are assigned based on being correct and how quickly you submitted your correct answer. It is definitely better to be correct.
  • A winner will be crowned each week, an overall winner will be crowned for those who participated all 4 weeks.
  • To participate multiple weeks (and be considered for prizes), people will need to have a registered Kahoot account and join the VHS Trivia Group. If you do not want to compete, the link for the trivia assignment will be posted each week on the VHS Calendar. Link to join the Kahoot group
  • The Kahoot group is also where people can chat about the trivia, respectfully “trash talk”, and interact with one another. We ask all players not to discuss the current round of trivia on any platform before the week has ended.
  • Competition is on the honor system. We expect players to play each game only once if they are competing for prizes/bragging rights.
  • We do our best to provide accurate information, but all answers are final and not subject to review. VHS reserves the right to be correct even when wrong.
  • Technical issues happen. VHS is not responsible for technical problems with the Kahoot platform, but please contact director.outreach@vermonthistory.org if there are system or game issues we should be aware of.
