Members' Tea: An Afternoon at the History Center

Gather with us at 3:00PM on Thursday, June 12, for our members-only event of the season and celebrate the past, present, and future of the Vermont History Center in Barre.

Our Executive Director and staff will share about the incredible story of the historic Spaulding Graded School, which is now home to the Vermont Historical Society, Vermont Department of Libraries, and the Vermont Archaeology Heritage Center. Walk through the ways we have preserved the history and spirit of this beloved building while also transforming the space to engage visitors in deeper exploration of Vermont's story. Be among the first to enjoy our recently renovated lobby with new displays of collections materials. The Leahy Library, along with the Research and Exhibition Gallery, will be open to visitors during this event. 

This event will include refreshments and tea, a talk with Vermont Historical Society's Executive Director, Steve Perkins, at 3:30PM, displays that share the building's history, and an opportunity to gather in community to explore this incredible space.
