Lafayette in Vermont

In honor of the 200th anniversary of the Marquis de Lafayette's "Farewell Tour" of America, hundreds of events will trace Lafayette’s footsteps on the exact dates and in the exact order he followed on his tour of America as the “Guest of the Nation” between 1824 and 1825. He went through Vermont on June 28 & 29 1825. 

He will stop at the Vermont History Center in Barre on June 28 at 3:00 pm. He will stop in Montpelier later that day (around 4:00 pm), for remarks, and a reception and talk at the Vermont History Museum.
