All in Vermont Local History Workshop- Virtual
Join VHS and learn about our “All In Vermont: put your history on the map” project which is a statewide, place-based learning opportunity for Vermont educators and students which encourages the study of community history in partnership with local historical societies. Through inquiry-based research, students will uncover the enduring history that makes their home unique and share it on a ArcGIS interactive map. These workshops, aimed at local historical societies, museums, libraries, and other community cultural organizations will provide an introduction to the project and how your organizations can work to engage with local students.
There are virtual and in-person options. The virtual workshop will focus on an introduction to the project and ways to engage with students. The in person workshop will provide a deeper dive into those topics, alongside hands-on activities to help you engage students with their local history.
