April vacation

Join us at the Vermont History Center for some historical fun and games during your school vacation! Each program includes a visit to the Vermont Heritage Galleries and crafts, games, and a snack inspired by the theme of the day.

**This program has been cancelled due to lack of enrollment.**

Wednesday April 24, Art of the Civil War, 1:00-4:00

houghtonwebExplore paintings, photographs and drawings created by Vermont artists to document the Civil War. Activities include decorating cases for Civil War soldier photographs and eating hardtack.

Thursday April 25, Vermont's Natural Resources, 1:00-4:00

Check out how the rocks, trees, and land have shaped Vermont's people and culture. Activities include making butter and clay scupltures.

Further information

Geared toward children ages 6 through 12, each program runs from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at the Vermont History Center (60 Washington Street, Barre). Parents are welcome to drop off their children or stay to participate in the fun too!

Cost is $8 per child or $6 per child for members of the Vermont Historical Society or for families with 3 or more participating children.
