North Williston: Down Depot Hill
When the railroad came to North Williston in 1849 the area changed from a collection of farms to an economic center for Chittenden County. Industries such as Smith Wright's cold storage plant, a butter tub factory and a grist mill prospered. The general store had the telephone switchboard and the post office; so it served as the community gathering place. Illustrated, bibliography, and index.
