Dora Gepgrags of Hinesburg served the state of Vermont in the House of Representatives during the early period of women's involvement in state politics.
Born in Hinesburg, VT, she attended the graded and high schools there. Later, she held the office of assistant town clerk from 1928 to 1934 and library trustee from 1935 to 1936. In 1936 she was elected to the House, serving one term, from 1937 to 1939. During her time in the House, Geprags was the only female representing the Democratic party, in a Republican state and legislature.
Dora Geprags died in 1989.
