Katharine Duclos was one of the most prominent teachers in Braintree. She was born in Braintree, daughter of Perkins and Helene Flint. She married Eugene Duclos and gave birth to seven children from 1928-1950.

Her teaching career started in 1940 and she retired in 1971.

In addition to teaching, Katharine was a charter member of the Braintree Historical Society of which she was president from 1965-1971. In 1976, she published the book "The History of Braintree, Vermont: Volume II 1883-1975".
