Vermont History JournalVermont History publishes new research and scholarship in most aspects of Vermont state and local history. The journal also include reviews of books on Vermont history. The full text of back issues of Vermont History since 2000 are now available online on this site six months after publication. Click on volume number to see table of contents for all issues published that year, or use the "Search" box at the right to search for keywords within articles; choose "Search PDFs" from the dropdown menu. Each article is stored as an individual PDF file, which requires Adobe Acrobat Reader for viewing.

Whenever possible, articles should be based on heretofore unpublished documentary or other primary source material. Please review the submission guidelines before submitting your work.
