Friend Frank in as much as your Brother is agoing to write a few lines to you I thought to myself that I had a perfect and an undoubted rite to write a line of the like to you to let you know that my health is good hope yours is the same Frank the fact cant no longer be disqusted that the rebils are going to make another stamped at richmond or that vicinity I have written to Jack once since you left the town of Woodbury am expecting to hear from him soon evry mail Oh I wish you could see the homly folks out here in V.A. I swan I have seen hansomer folks fed out to hogs. they are living curiosites. by arth Frank when I get to Richmond I am going to get you and that gall (Sarah) the pretest little doll that I can find (I dont mean sarah chace) and am going to send it to you thunder in the winter what a time we boys had last night in the rain the rain fell 200 feet 2 inches and a little over, and it nigh bout kilt the whole of the armey of the Potomac, by arth it is as mudy this morning as it can be and not be all mud and you will have to excuse me for this time and if this is worth an answer I should like to hear from you
